AZ Sint-Lucas is a modern and easily accessible hospital in the centre of Ghent. AZ Sint-Lucas counts 833 hospital beds and 64 day care beds. 30,000 patients are admitted every year for at least one night. The number of day care patients is slightly higher than 20,000 per year. Next to an extended staff of 200 surgeons and consultants, the hospital employs some 2,000 personnel. The hospital is one of the biggest employeers in the area.
