Abstract:

King’s College London, one of the top 25 universities in the world, the fourth oldest in England and a member of the prestigious Russell Group, has successfully deployed Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager (ILM) and Omada Identity Manager (OIM) to provide a dramatically improved automatic provisioning and role-based user management system.

King's has 20,000 students and the enrolment process that enables the provisioning of access to multiple resources, systems and services can be demanding and resource intensive. The combination of ILM and the award-winning OIM, makes a compelling joint solution: OIM offers a delegated administrative interface that matches King’s existing registration processes, whilst providing enhanced workflow and role management capabilities, whilst ILM connects to the many underlying databases and directories at King's and fulfils requests initiated in OIM.
