Omada’s new release leads to faster deployment
Copenhagen, Denmark, August 20, 2008 – Omada, an award-winning Microsoft Solution Provider for Advanced Role Based Access Control and Compliance in Identity Management, has announced today the release of Omada Identity Manager 6.1.

The enhanced solution comes with pre-packaged scenarios for even faster deployments, including best practices for on-boarding contractors. In addition, the improved Role Engine is more powerful than ever before, enabling greater automation and dynamic Role Based Access Control. The solution supports vital scenarios for SharePoint provisioning and management.
The key updates in the new release include:
- Packaged Solution — A complete OIM solution with a selection of fully implemented scenarios and functionality. With the Omada Identity Manager 6.1 Packaged Solution, customers can take a giant, time-saving and resource-saving leap toward a ready-to-use application. With its pre-configured scenarios the OIM Packaged Solution supports rapid deployments and effective proof-of-concept sessions.
- Enhanced Role Engine — Omada brings more calculation flexibility to Role Management with the OIM Role Engine. Its refined design enhances the efficiency of data delivery from OIM to ILM and greatly reduces processing time, improves performance and scalability, and further extends Omada's lead in the business of Role Management. An extension to the Role Engine is available for very specialized calculation requirements.
- Security — Even more granular security for viewing data can be achieved with Access Modifiers, partially introduced in OIM 6.0. The access modifier concept centralizes access rules and eliminates the need for building custom URLs for selection screens and elsewhere. OIM 6.1 introduces even more access modifiers and a GUI for easy application during process design. Access modifiers enhance the current security concepts in OIM, making it easier to configure security settings to accommodate advanced needs and further simplify your project implementations.
- Additional enhancements to this new release of OIM include improved data integrity through additional logic, as well as continual improvements to the GUI to improve usability and scalability based on close collaboration and dialog with customers and partners.
