A key survey for IT professionals in the US, indicates that automation and compliance are top priorities for the year
TechTarget’s ninth annual IT Priorities Survey queries 971 IT professionals across the US about the key application, infrastructure and environmental initiatives that their companies will be undertaking in the coming year. A large number of the respondents are focused on working with IT security.
Of the respondents, 35% said that automating IT processes was at the top of their IT priorities list for 2017, closely followed by 31% saying compliance efforts were top of mind. Automation thereby came in first in the prioritization list and compliance third. IT automation is a top priority for companies of all sizes according to the survey and especially mid-sized firms are eyeing compliance initiatives as a focus area for the year.
